MEMORANDUM FOR THE CHIEF OF STAFF

	Having received and considered the recommendation of the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records and under the authority of Section 1552, Title 10, United States Code, it is directed that:

	The pertinent military records of the Department of the Air Force relating to 
                    ,                     , be corrected to show that:

     	a.  On 30 November 1996, he was not involuntarily discharged for non-selection of permanent promotion, but instead was reassigned to this home of record via permanent change of station (PCS).

     	b.  He continued to serve on active duty until 31 July 1999 when competent authority approved his request to retire under the provisions of the Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) in accordance with the provisions of Public Law (PL) 102-484 § 4403. 

     	c.  On 31 July 1999, he was relieved from active duty and retired under the provisions of TERA, effective 1 August 1999.

     	d.  The election of Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) option(s), will be corrected in accordance with the member’s expressed preferences and/or as otherwise provided for by law or the Code of Federal Regulations.
